This is what happens when Jehovah’s Witnesses build a Kingdom Hall across the street from a Mormon Chapel

January 13, 2012 8:48 pm / 9 Comments / Keith

Can you imagine this? Two opposing belief systems across the street from one another and they decide to deal with their frustrations through creative messages on their signs. The Mormons strike first.

Yes, that is what the Book of Mormon really says.

It looks like the Jehovah’s Witnesses actually know something about Mormonism. They jab back by mentioning that they have prayed about the Book of Mormon and have found it to be false.

The Mormons come back with a hard hitting message. The Book of Mormon teaches that if you trust the Bible alone, you are a fool.

Why quote the Book of Mormon to a Jehovah’s Witness who does not believe it? The Witnesses decide to play the same game and quote what the Watchtower magazine says about the Book of Mormon. Yes, that is really what the Watchtower says.

Who knew that the Mormons are fans of Monty Python?

Now it’s getting ugly.

The Mormons shoot themselves in the foot. Jehovah’s Witnesses 1-0.

This guy says that he loves jw’s and mormons. so how come they’re the only “non-cristians” that he targets? he’s a hater. he’s so fake I bet he’ll respond to this comment but won’t publish it.

    Hi Eddie!
Obviously this is fake. I purposefully left the url of the site where I created these signs on the bottom right part of each picture so that people could figure it out. Did you really think I thought these signs were real? Did you know that they took the word “gullible” OUT of the dictionary? 😉

On another note, I am not fake nor am I a hater. I find that most people who drop the H-bomb (hate) in their discussions usually do so because they really don’t have a logical argument to present. Is this true of you as well?

To answer your question, the reason why we target mostly JWs and Mormons is because there are only 24 hours in the day. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll talk to anyone about Jesus, but God has placed a burden on my heart for those two people groups. I find it interesting that Christian missionaries in China are not questioned about why they do not focus on the people in Africa. God has given us this ministry and we will be faithful to reaching out to the people He has led us to reach.

One last thing. You obviously do not know me very well. I am not afraid approve anything. I draw the line when it comes to profanity and stuff like that, but approving comments like yours just verifies what I have said all along. Mormons, JWs and their sympathizers do not have good arguments and so they must rely on ad hominem attacks and other logical fallacies.

Now, did you REALLY want to talk or were you just too confident that I would cower behind my blog and ignore you?

    Be nice.

Out of curiosity, does a cross-cultist ministry exist between the two? Are there Mormons who are called specifically to reach to the JWs and vice-versa? I’ve always wanted to see a debate between the two but Youtube comes up dry.

      Chris,
There are JWs in Utah so I guess they probably know more about Mormonism than your average JW, but other than that, no. Each group pretty much focuses on whoever is behind the next door.

    AWESOME!

That must be a really long light behind the JW sign.

😉 No. The picture was taken at the EXACT time during rush hour over a period of days.

I live in Utah and have lived in many other states. I have had both LDS missionaries and Jehovah’s Witness missionaries stop buy and tell me why they believe their Church is the true Church. As for the rest of the Christian community, all I mostly hear is why other denominations and religions are false, that is when they bother to stop by to talk.
And don’t get me started on the sideshow barkers that scream and shout outside my Churches conferences. And the local “christian” radio station plays antiMormon junk about half the time. (I must say that the Catholic station is good about only teaching about Catholic issues and is a pleasure to listen to.

ps. We Mormons are only normal people and I know a few who might be dumb enough to put up a sign like the ones above.
