On April 15th, 2022 I attended the Jehovah’s Witness Memorial. I have visited these gatherings for 20+ years. Instead of writing a report like I have done for my previous “Conversations” series, I thought it best, and less time consuming, to record a YouTube video giving more detail than I could in a written report. Take a seat and listen as I explain my thoughts about this meeting from the perspective of someone who has never been a Jehovah’s Witness.
I’ve considered going to a JW ‘Memorial’ but always chickened out because I WOULD partake of the emblems and cause a bit of a fuss.
I was raised in this religion till I was 20. I am now 42 year old and I don’t have a relationship with any of my family members including my parents. I have a lot of trauma as a teenager and being disfellowshipped I will never go back. I’m so thankful to God for always loving me through this.
