Tomorrow night is our EX-JW support group. I was checking out the meetup web site and saw that they now have a new tool to help advertise your group. I’m going to fiddle with resizing it and see if I can place this badge on the right sidebar.
How’d you do that?
Look at the picture and then read below for a conversation that happened at the shooting line. This is 50 rounds at seven yards with my Springfield XD-9.
The guy said, “How’d you do that?”
I replied, “I had a bad site picture.”
From The Jewel Box # 13
One day our family was sitting on our son’s bed after getting the kids up from their naps and we were playing around being silly. Our son made this interesting sorting sound so I copied it. We both sounded like pigs, but it was pretty funny. In the past, our daughter has accidentally snorted while she laughs so I asked her if she could snort too. Her reply was, “Mommy doesn’t like me to snort because she said it isn’t very ladyable.”

Important note: We will not reveal the names of our children on this blog. Any comment that mentions our children’s names will be deleted. It is nothing personal, we just feel that it is an important safety measure for our family. If you would like to read the other FTJB entries, click on the “From the Jewel Box” link in the side bar on the right or on the Jewel Box icon at the end of this paragraph. Come on parents! Feel free to share special jewels from your precious children. Just know that on this blog, our kids are the cutest!
EM On “One Living Truth” Podcast
Eric Hoffman of One Living Truth Truth Ministries, has a podcast where he examines the claims of the Mormon Church. He contacted us and expressed the desire to interview me regarding the Impossible Gospel of Mormonism. I was honored to be a guest on the 33rd episode of Eric’s podcast. If you visit his site through the link above, you can listen to our phone conversation where we discussed Mormonism and its Impossible Gospel.
Ergun Caner
At this year’s EMNR conference, we had the privilege of hearing from Dr. Ergun Caner, the first former Muslim to become the President of a seminary. I just came across the following Godtube video and watched the whole thing. Ergun gives some great illustrations that he uses for Muslims about the gospel, grace and the Trinity. I thought they would be very beneficial for us to hear and then apply to our conversations with Jehovah’s Witnesses and Mormons. He also talks about the benefits of “one-shot” evangelism.
