The American Family Foundation has called for a boycott of McDonald’s because of its support of the rabid, anti-family, gay agenda. Micky D’s was asked to be neutral in the culture wars, but instead released a statement reiterating their stance against traditional family values.
If you would like more information about the boycott, visit the web site set up specifically for this boycott. I have left a comment and have notified McDonal’s that our family will no longer be patrons of their restaurant. I encourage you to do the same.
Although this is a serious issue, I thought it would be appropriate to lighten it up a bit with this funny video about homosexuality. It just ain’t natural folks.
For Keith to post ANY country-type music speaks volumes. Good going for over-riding your distaste for that kind of “music” to relay a good message!
There are so many things that I disagree with on this one. Who has said that McDonalds has to be neutral in anything, specifically “culture wars”? More importantly, as followers of Christ, are we called to engage in these culture wars, or are we called to share the love of Christ with others? I just can’t see Jesus signing his name to this petition. Stuff like this is exactly why over 90% of young, non-Christians thing that Christians are “anti-homosexual”. That’s very sad.
Ian, you stated; “as followers of Christ, are we called to engage in these culture wars, or are we called to share the love of Christ with others?”It isn’t either or, it is both. Here is the deal. The radical homosexual agenda is out to destroy the traditional view a family. They do not just seek tolerance, they seek acceptance and agreement. Here is a perfect example of that. A homosexual man who has a blog on Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign website is suing two major Christian publishers for violating his constitutional rights and causing emotional pain, because the Bible versions they publish refer to homosexuality as a sin. Read more here.http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=69147Remember, you cannot tolerate something with which you agree, because… you agree with it! You can only tolerate that with which you disagree. From the above story, it is obvious that homosexuals do not want our tolerance. They want to force us to accept their behavior and have started a culture war to see that that happens. Like all wars, you need funding. Since there are a LOT fewer homosexuals than is claimed, they need funding from corporate sponsors. The limited resources of the homosexual themselves is not enough to wage this war. When the homosexuals are successful in wooing big name corporations, this makes it harder for us to to stand for righteousness sake. (And Ian, it doesn’t matter how much “Christian love” you express. Once it is made known that believe homosexuality is a sin, you will be labeled a bigot and hate-monger.) They hope to silence us with shame. They attack our laws, our schools and even our Bibles. You just wait until they are successful in attacking our faith by attempting to silence our religious freedom to call sin, sin. Canada has already fallen for this. Does anyone here want to be guilty of “hate crimes” for teaching their children that homosexuality is sinful? What we hope to accomplish is to show that in a tolerant culture, you must be able to disagree. While prayer is always the best resource possible (please join me in prayer for this issue) the thing that corporate sponsors pay attention to most is their bottom line. If they can be shown that their decision to join the wrong side of this culture war is a bad decision for them, monetarily, then we can at least get them to remain neutral and stop funding the homosexual agenda. What does this mean for you and me? We will continue to have our freedom to agree to disagree. That may not seem like a big deal to you, but it sure is for me.
One more thing Ian. How is McDonald’s going to know about your love of Christ?
